We are Scotland's first university-affiliated Legal Tech Society with the goal of educating and preparing students for the future of the legal profession. The legal profession as we know it is changing rapidly with the use of technologies like machine learning, AI and data science. Increasingly, firms are looking for students to understand these technologies so they can help firms transition through what has become known as the "fourth industrial revolution". Jobs like Innovation Manager, Legal Data Scientist and Legal Technologist were unheard of just 5 years ago. Now just about every major law firm is investing heavily to be on the forefront of the legal tech revolution. Our society aims to prepare students for the rapidly changing legal profession where innovation and technology are a driving force of change.
