1. Walk
Its Free, it's great for your physical and mental health and allows you to appreciate your surroundings fully. Once you get going it's not as slow as you might expect and provides a great stress-free time for thinking and reflecting, you can even add music or a podcast. See if there is any off-road trail or park you can incorporate onto your daily commute and appreciate the changes that come with the seasons.

2. Cycle
Having a bike gives you a cheap, fast and active method to get around the city. You will be keeping fit and helping the environment, every time you use it to travel. Aberdeen is a size that means you can get anywhere comfortably by bike. Why not try one with AUSA’s free bike hire scheme.

3. Bus
Aberdeen has an extensive bus network allowing you to make any journey in the city by bus. The University also provides a free shuttle bus link between Foresterhill, Old Aberdeen and Hillhead campuses.

4. Car Share
Did you know the University operates a car share scheme for Students and Staff? Why not save cost and emissions by pooling together commutes from the same area!

5. Taxi
When you really need to go somewhere fast you can always book a taxi. Did you know that AUSA’s Safe taxi scheme can get you home safely on a night out even if you don’t have cash, just book or stop a Rainbow taxi and present the driver with your student ID card, they will keep this and you will be able to collect it and pay for your journey from the Infohub on campus.
