We utilise a variety of facilities for our Sports Clubs, Societies and Groups.

Glass and alcohol are not permitted at any ASV or AU External facilities
Access to changing rooms, showers and toilets are available in most location. Please use the lockers provided for all personal belongings
King's Pavilion Playing Fields
University Road, AB24 3FX
Situated on the University of Aberdeen Campus, the attractive playing fields at King's Pavilion play host to two rugby pitches, and Aberdeen's only dedicated lacrosse pitch.
King's Synthetic Cricket Wicket
University Road, AB24 3FX
Situated in the centre of the playing fields at King's Pavilion, this synthetic wicket is ideal for training.
King's Tennis Courts
University Road, AB24 3FX
Situated at King's Pavilion, three sand dressed synthetic tennis courts which are open all year round.
Butchart Recreation Centre
University Rd, Aberdeen AB24 3UT
Butchart Recreation Centre is located on University Road, to the South of Kings College, provides access to a sports hall, multi purpose room, dance studio and Strength & Conditioning gym.
Hillhead Centre (Keith Park)
245 Don St, AB24 1XP - Accessible via the free 9U bus and First Bus No. 20
Situated around a mile from King's Campus adjacent to the Hillhead Halls of Residence, Hillhead Centre plays host to both an exclusive match pitch (grass) and a full size sand dressed synthetic pitch along with treatment rooms and an impressive sports pavilion with seating for over 200 spectators.
In addition, the centre offers several multi purpose rooms.
Balgownie Playing Fields
Balgownie Rd, Bridge of Don, Aberdeen AB22 8LX - Accessible via the First Bus No. 1
Situated 2 miles from the Aberdeen Sports Village on the outskirts of Bridge of Don, Balgownie plays host to four full size grass football pitches, shinty pitch, American Football pitch, Baseball pitch, two Rugby Pitches, as well as an Athletics running track, and extensive changing facilities and a pavilion which can all be booked for specific events.
In addition, the centre offers a couple multi purpose rooms.
Aberdeen Boat House
We also have a boathouse on the banks of the river Dee which serves the thriving rowing club.
Alt-Na-Giubhsaich climbing bothy
There is also the Alt-Na-Giubhsaich climbing bothy near the shores of Loch Muick in Royal Deeside. Use of the bothy is available to University staff and certain student clubs from November to August. All enquiries should be directed to the Estates Office.
Aberdeen Sports Village and Aquatics Centre

Aberdeen Sports Village is the premier sports facility in the North East of Scotland. It is open to students, staff and the public with a sports hall, gym area, athletics areas (indoor and outdoor), Hockey Pitch (water based), indoor football pitches, squash courts, and multi purpose studios.
The aquatics Centre is host to 50 metre, 10 lane Olympic standard swimming pool, and a 25m international-standard diving pool with moveable floor.
